Ya-hoo!! Whoopee! "My" non-nursing baby just had a wt. check at the peds,
and she has gained - get this - 8 ounces! I am so happy! Doing a little
dance to the Milk Goddesses...
So now, after all this days of sweating it out, here she is almost back to
birth wt. by day 6! Plus now she's turned into a regular little baby -
parents now worried because she's "demanding" to eat every 2 hours -
sometimes even more often! Peeing & pooping up a storm. Jaundice cleared.
Has even been willing to go to the breast, & has latched on & suckled for a
few minutes a couple of times. Parents now worrying about what to do about
hiccups - I figure when that's the worst thing they have to worry about,
things are well on the way.
Thanks all! I'm vastly relieved - this was a nerve-wracking one, and I
trusted my instincts and my skills but *really* hoped I was right, that they
wouldn't go to the doctors & have him say she'd lost another couple of
ounces and it would be off to the hospital for her and we all know where
that leads...OK, NOW I'll sleep!
