Turn the page and you see the second ad, one of the standard one for
Carnation Followup formula, with the tag line of "Bring out the very best in
your baby."

An article in today's paper says that a federal judge has ordered Abbott
Laboratories and a subsidiary to stop using the claim "1st Choice of Doctors"
in advertisements and on product packaging and labeling for its Similac line
of baby formulas.
This preliminary injunction was in response to a lawsuit filed by Abbott
competitor, Mead Johnson Nutritionals, the maker of the Enfamil brand of baby
formulas.
Isn't it a sad state when this garbage is what's being brought to trial rather
than say, a false advertisement suit for the "Bring out the very best in your
baby" type claims in formula ads? Better yet, the AAP could sue Abbott and
Mead Johnson both for untrue claims because *obviously* the "1st Choice of
Doctors" is breastmilk!
