Is it on the nipple or the aereola? My concern with skin tags in
general is that babies like to play with them and they can get
injured.

Has she consulted a dermatologist who is familiar with breastfeeding?
I'm having a very hard time visualising the shape of a 1 cm long skin
tag. Is it very thin or is it "chunk" of tissue? Is it 1 cm wide,
but very short? I would suppose that would cause the least problem.

I've had skin tags frozen off and the healing time is a few weeks so
she should get it done soon or not at all. If she waits, it would
hurt to nurse on that side and maybe trigger a nursing strike or
nipple refusal once the very altered (in baby's mind) breast is
offered again.
