Yvonne, hope you move went OK, don't these things always happen at the most
convenient times!  The HCP you came in contact with was ****** (fill in
whatever nasty word you like!).  She obvivously doesn't go out of her way
to really help anybody.

Toradol (Ketorolac) is a NSAID and is reviewed in Hale, sounds fairly
harmless.  Alternative is ibuprofen.  Interestingly Hale says it used to be
used in labor but use was DC because of decreased fetal circulation and
inhibition of uterine contractions leading to  hemorrhage.  When used in
nursing moms levels ranged from ) to low.  Infant would get 0.4% or less of
maternal dose.  Since babies over 6 mo can have their own iburophen P.O. I
don't know why this would be a problem.  PDR quotes same article as Hale
and then says contraindicated.  I guess it depends on where you are coming
from.  Actually if you follow the PDR carefully, no one would or could take
anything!  And after reading about Toradol I wouldn't take it period.

Skelaxin (metaxalone) is not reviewed as no  info available. it is a
centrally acting sedative . PDR has usual blurb for nursing.

As Jack always says, I'm sure there are other choices.  Rest, Ice,
