sorry to be late on posting , but school comes first any more. along with
the fenugreek thyme thread nature;s way makes a combination of these two,
thesy seem to be better though at dealing with sore throats, calming
secretions and coughs. If people can remember the song, scarborough fair ,
"parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme" all are not lactagogues they are dryers.
they are each good for things other than a milk supply. I like a oil
afterbath for my moms i have acted as doula for , relaxing, and with a
little arnica oil helps with sore muscles.

Got my into into peds in the hospital tues and wed. first patient spoke no
english only spanish- boyy am i rusty. but was able to do patient teaching
and ask basic questions no one else asked. no not breastfeeding , in for RSV
and pneumonia with dehydration- no one asked how many bottles she fed this
7 week old boy. baby getting on 5- 3-4 oz bottles a day. when i did get to
feed him he woofed down 2 bottles. no wonder dehydration-hunger. Actually
showed mom to hold baby clsose to feed not down in the lap. she did good he
went home.

next day was a 7 week old breastfeeding baby. rotovirus was questionalble
with dehydration and ruling out pyloric stenosis. well x ray was ok- normal.
left before Rotovirus test results were back. did teach about finishing
first side first as she was doing a lot of switch nursing. said ok and
actually followed instructions very well. otherwise he fed beautifully and
he actually gained weigh in time he was there. How do you guys do it being
an IBCLC/ and a student nurse is difficult- and I cannot say i am an LC-
had to get around it by saing I breastfed my 4 children and they did well.
oh well to long. But I loved it!

Mechell Turner.
