Andrew
You are so right about not taking verbatim everything a client tells you
a dr. or other said. I have an LC friend who swears an LC at another
hosp is horrible because another friend said the LC said "You have
horrible nipples you will never bf with those". I have talked with the
accused LC, attended conferences with her, and she has consulted me on
cases and I have seen her talking with clients. I feel she is very
appropriate in her treatment and very caring. Yet my friend justs puts
her down all the time. I have reminded her that she was not there and I
just don't believe it she would ever say a thing like that.
Also a mother told one of our nurses that I said "only bf moms bond with
their babies" and I can swear to you that I never did and never would
say that. And since she was exclusively bf and had bf her last child x
1yr, I can't imagine why that sentence would have even been uttered to
her anyway. So I'll watch the ranting unless I've actually heard the
comment and the context.
