This is in response to a recent posting about where companies get names.  I
already deleted the original posting, or I would have emailed privately.
However today I was meeting with the phone company for a yellow pages listing,
and the rep. told me people look through the newspaper for the new delivery
section.  Also they might go to the court house to get a list of all the birth
certificate applications.  That was just for starters.  My friend who is a
nurse at the VA stated today that a friend had looked up the name of a famous
athlete, and not only found his name, but address and phone number as well.
Pretty scary.
