<< Aren't our bodies amazing and persistent?! I did the week-long LC training
course at Georgetown U., a good 12 YEARS after the end of my own
breastfeeding days. By the end of the week, my breasts were visibly larger,
tender, and felt engorged. I swore I could have latched on & nursed any baby
in sight! Just from the constant all-day every-day *talking* about breasts!
I stand in absolute awe of the human female body (and men aren't so bad
either, but they don't do as much. Although what they *can* do is sometimes
entertaining...) >>
I don't get full or any visual signs, but if I pick up a baby who has that
Baby shampoo smell, I feel a letdown! Or even if the baby does the neck
nuzzle!!!
One of my WIC moms' mother who had nursed 7 children in 13 yrs but had not
produced milk in 20 yrs did that at the hospital when she picked up her
grandbaby. She said she even instinctly looked down to see if she had leaked
on her shirt.
