Actually, it is not a new one.  This is common advice given *to*
breastfeeding mothers. Once again, paediatricians (and mothers) need to
separate in their minds what is medical advice and what is parenting advice.
When it comes to parenting advice, paediatricians are not more knowledgeable
than the rest of us. In fact, if they know their parenting from what they
learn in training, they may be less knowledgeable.
