There are some great replies to this question in the archives.  What the
consensus was is that eating raw-fish-sushi doesn't pose a problem for a
breastfeeding baby.  The mother, and anyone else, needs to be certain of
the source and care of the fish, which reputable sushi bars are very
careful about.

Not all fish sushi is raw, and there are many vegetable sushi selections.

Sushi is vinegared rice and, after that, one may "top it off" with anything
she wants to, including sashimi, which is the raw fish, cooked shrimp, or
the many vegetables common to sushi.
