I tell moms that most docs only see problems while in training or in private
practice, so to them, breastfeeding has lots of problems. And docs are
problem solvers and will try to find a solution for whatever problem the mom
is having, from breastfeeding to potty training. If the mom wants an
expert, I make suggestions such as those who teach child development classes
or LLL or whatever. Most moms don't realize what expectation they place on
their doctors. Now, if we could just get the docs to say, that's not in my
field of practice, call so-and-so.

pound box of candy make a woman gain 5 pounds?)
