Hello. Question for all of you.

Has anyone worked with any babies with venticular septal defects? I have one
that I am now working with, SGA, weight around 5 '10" now, but is doing
fairly well at the breast after getting really dehydrated last week. Is this
a common defect, and is it corrected in one surgery generally?

When is this surgery done? What effect does this defect have on general
health, and are these babies usually slow gainers? Also, are there any
support groups avail for parents of babies with this defect?

Kathleen
