Dear Magda-
Christianity comes in many flavors. I suspect that you would find as
many ideas about breastfeeding among Christians as you would in a secular
population. That is because our culture so strongly influences our feelings
about baby feeding, and Christians are found in diverse cultures.
However, we do know that Jesus was breastfed. That God gives us
peace and stillness "Like a weaned child with his mother", that Hannah nursed
Samuel for years, and that breastfeeding is part of the life cycle and will
be until the end "How hard it will be for pregnant and nursing mothers" when
severe trials come as the end of the world.
