When using a frost free freezer it is possible the fat molecule in human
milk is altered because of temperature change thus producing an unusual
smell to the milk. Before discarding the milk as "sour", try bringing it
just to a boil and then simmering it for twenty minutes, cool and smell.
More than likely it will smell and be fine. A hint I learned from a milk
banking friend.
