As I read Cathy Bargers post about professionalism and presenting
breastfeeding classes, I couldn't help but remember a presentation with
Cathy Liles two years ago. She dressed up as a dishelved mom with a sore
breast and played stump the audience with us. Far from 'professional' but
one of the best learning sessions I have ever taken part in. I think most
adult learners need a little excitement and surprise in the 'lecture' to
really drive the message home. And what better example than a real mom with
a real breastfeeding baby to get the key points across. I hope it works
out with WIC, for you Jennifer and I think what you've been giving those
moms is a wonderful example and learning environment, all wrapped up in
one. Good luck,
