Helen, you will be happy to know this is the third project of this team and
they have published 2 other articles which do not put BF in a bad light.
      See JHL 13(2) 97 Brmilk Composition After Exercise of Different
Intensities    and a new article to be published in Jan 99 in Medicine and
Science in Sports and Exercise, "Does exercise intensity or diet influence
lactic acid accumulation in breast milk?"  Both these articles conclude
there is no difference in the milk after moderate exercise (30 min at l00%
VO2 max)
            Their next research is to video tape babies nursing right after mum
has exercised to see if there is a difference before and after in the
baby's acceptance of the breast.   They are using experienced IBCLCs to
critique the video tapes.   Hopefully the LCs will help them include all
the variables necessary to make this research valid.   More on that after
the research is done.

You can just picture the headlines in the papers when this 'research' is
published, breastfeeding will come out badly, I think I could place a bet
