Question:

Does oral Nystatin for babies treat systemically?
If not, what would be reccomended treatment?

Client and babies all have thrush - one baby has major problems with pooping
in that if he isn't cleaned up immediately he breaks out in a major yeasty
diaper rash.

Mom is concerned about trying to go for Diflucan with the Drs in her HMO
because they simply won't prescribe it. She wants to know why these Drs
won't prescribe this med when Yeast is such a problem and why they won't
prescribe it when Nystatin and other alternatives are not working.

Please e-mail privately as I am currently no-mail. [log in to unmask]

TIA!
