Okay, again I couldn't resist getting in on the thread.

On his album (does that date me?  I'm a '66-er, too!)  "Rhythm of the
Saints"  two cuts mention nursing babies:
"...I see them in the airport lounges on their mother's breast.  They
look at me with watchful eyes, the uninvited guest..." and another song
mentions tribe women sitting in groups nursing their babies.  Pretty
cool , I thought and good music, too!

Back to the "Research Survey", my first thought was that it was the
"teddy bear" company's handiwork, however, the questions were terribly
slanted toward ABM.  If this is what they are basing their "unbiased"
survey on, no wonder breastfeeding isn't seen as the norm... gee, now
there's a thought...
