I need to be convinced that a lactating woman can be 'without milk' after
pumping. I did not know that the lactating breast could be 'empty'. Yes,
you've guessed it, I am playing devil's advocate here :D

 Helen:

no need to be the devils advocate here... "we" all know that the breast is
NEVER dry BUT the health care professionals who are opposing letting an infant
at breast for frear of a whole range of things including milk transfer to a
baby on "stright feeds" does not know this and may be convinced of the
"safety" of putting the infant to breast if we dutifully promise that there
will not be milk transfer ;)
