I would say that in the 44 min you have, address the points of bf that YOU
want to address, Mira. Address how to know that a baby is getting milk, ie
good latch, and active suck/pause/transfer of milk. You suggested,...drugs,
sore breasts (mastitis and thrush) and maybe sore nipples.

Spending that time on how to have milk dry up is not productive, in my eyes.
Refer them to the book The Nursing Mother's Guide to Weaning, and have them
read it. End of subject.

I think that an appropriate focus is how to support and protect
breastfeeding, not a quick and dirty weaning session.  This would support
and add to the messes that are made every day when people don't know a good
latch or milk transfer from a hole in the ground.

Just my *not so* humble opinion.
