Check out the subtly scary "con" piece in which a seemingly well-adjusted
mother gives her baby a "gentle nudge" to sleep thru the night by allowing her
to cry for up to one hour at a time three nights in a row. This is presented
as normative and a "kinder", "gentler" use of Babywise. Again, GFI can go on
and on about how parents should use good judgment when utilizing their
recommendations, but the way in which real parents are using it scares the
pants off of me.
