With regard to Chris Hafner-Eaton Message:

What are the active indgredients in the cabbage leaves that make them
effective for treating engorgement? Do you have references for the active
ingredients in the cabbage leaves, the treatments of the cabbage leaves to
release these active ingredients, and the methods of washing that you
mention in your message.

I thought that the effectivness of the cabbage leaves hadn't been
scientifically proven, (La Leche League's, The Breastfeeding Handbook).

Thanks
Lelia O'Callaghan.
