A friend had a baby about 10 days ago--baby given bottles in hosp. for
jaundice and mother's GD. Baby had difficulty latching on in hosp., they
got conflicting advice from the nurses, not seen by LC (you know, the
usual ;-( ). On day 7, she calls--baby is having 5/6 bottles of ABM
day. I give suggestions on what to do. Next day they rent pump, but her
output has been decreasing. Anyway, the hospital LC has not returned
their calls. (I explained that many hospitals LC are overworked). Can
anyone e-mail privately with a recommendation for a good LC in the area,
or even a local LLL contact.

They have little family support for breastfeeding, and I was somewhat
suprised that they are still at it.
TIA,
Melissa Kirsch, JD, LLLL
