As a physician along with all other physicians, I took an oath embodying a
code of medical ethics - the Hippocratic oath. It is interesting that over a
thousand years ago, Hippocrates reasoned that breast milk was best suited for
the child because it was made from the same converted blood as was amniotic
fluid and therefore was a familiar source of nourishment for the child.
Too bad that support for breastmilk by Hippocrates was not included in the
Hippocratic oath for all physicians to swear by, eh?
