Dear LACTNETTERS, Here I am asking your help again after being a lurker for
months. It is true. This is addictive.
One of our peer counselors was just hospitalized R/T prolonged vomiting
secondary to a virus. They have been giving her compazine. She called me to
ask about its safety with breastfeeding and I read her Dr. Hale's caution. She
is frantic and wants an alternative drug that is compatible with
breastfeeding. Do you know of such a drug? I wish that Dr. Hale would cross
reference safe alternatives in his book. Please answer ASAP. Her baby is 7 mos
old and has never had a bottle. He is refusing her small store of previously
pumped breastmilk at home and she does not want to resort to ABM unless forced
to. ( We don't know if he'll take that either)
