>i always urge people to try gentian violet first. why? cheap, i can give

I use GV first also because it is a good "test" for the questionable cases,
which I still encounter. If the nipples feel better, sometimes by the next
feeding, then I know that we are looking at the correct cause of the nipple
pain.

So is what you have left the mupirocin 2% ointment (5 grams)
betamethasone 0.1% ointment (5 grams)?
Have any of you tried the APNC, with all of its ingredienats when there
isn't consideration of yeast?
I had 2 "successful" experiences this week. An OB and a Ped prescribed
fluconazole to their patients after I talked to them about its use and
effectiveness. It was so refreshing--after several weeks of struggle with
HCPs.
My Dream Job is as LC without yeast. I remember when most of my cases were
difficulty latching, or positioning problems, or tongue tie. I guess that,
at that time, any mother who was in as much pain as the ones I see today,
would reach immediately for the bottle and never look back. These women
are truly heroic for all that they go through.
