A message to us all. I live by the philosophy that until I have the initials
G.O.D. after my name, I don't have the right to judge anyone.
I have been in a position a couple of times where a mum "needed" my
permission to bottle feed- they had very good reasons, which I won't go
into, before anyone jumps on me!
However, I still continue to be passionate about breastfeeding- my
children's excellent report cards from school yesterday are directly
attributable to their breastfeeding!
Yesterday, was chatting to some antenates about b/f, soon, one of our
Gynaecology patients was asking questions- her daughter had mastitis! Any
chance to spread the word!
In our Unit, we have decided it is easy to tell a midwife out shopping- we
are the ones grabbing our breasts in the aisle of the supermarket!
(demonstrating positioning, of course!)
Cheers
Susan, revelling in our new breastfeeding policy! and who loves to go to
work!
