Here's a novel idea for those of you who like a challenge -
You know how we have moms fractionate expressed breast milk into
foremilk and hindmilk so that we can feed babies the hindmilk for extra
calories? Well, what about a baby with chylothorax who can't have any
long chain fat in his diet? Someone suggested using foremilk fortified
with MCT oil (medium chain triglycerides).
I didn't think it could be done. Any thoughts?
