Dear Suzie and lactnetters,
My first suggestion would be: check the *Lactnet Archives*. There
is some useful material there - references to follow up, advice, case
histories and personal expreiences. Take on board what you feel is most
helpful out of this trasure trove. Most *good* (i.e. reliable and
sound) professional-audience BF texts and mother-audience texts have a
section on relactation, too. The Lactnet Archives will give you some
idea of what texts various people have found helpful.
Adoptive BF Mums also need lots of support, e.g. family, LC, LLLI or
NMAA. They also need to understand not to expect instant results (some
do, and are soooo disappointed) and to get the skin contact and
interaction right, before introducing anything new. But - check the
archives for more.
