I too am amazed that the milk is still there even with very little nsg
of an older child. Just to share. I am nsg my dtr, age 4+ yrs, I feel
there is no milk there (altho I can express drops, never try for more).
She says there is plenty! Sometimes now she goes all day w/o nursing
since a.m. until bedtime and I feel achy in my breasts (kinda like a
letdown). But I never leak, nor experience letdown sensations during a
nsg. I just can't get over that the milk is still there. Of course, she
nursed so much during the 2's and 3's that maybe there will be milk
there forever! I will be a subject in Carol and Jack's study of
expressing after weaning sometime in the not too distant future.
