Yes!, and this BF support in a mainstream nursing journal - JOGNN (the
AWHONN's publication) is likely to continue and grow: the President elect of
AWHONN for 1999 is an IBCLC who previously ran a hospital lactation center in
Virginia. Also, the new AWHONN Manager of Practice and Development has held at
least two hospital based positions that included working closely with LCs, and
is very LC and BF supportive.
