OK, folks, try this one on for size: Six week-old baby gets rash on trunk.
Ped. dx: "allergic to breastmilk. Put the baby on soy." (Also topical cream
of some sort.)
Rash took weeks to go away. Now at 8 weeks the mother is "allowed" to resume
nursing and has a baby who is now refusing to do so after the bottles of
wonderful soy. (Sarcasm intended)

Where will it ever end?

Linda Pincus, RN, IBCLC
