My first time on! Finally!!
Here is my query. A Mom told me that she was given the perfect cure for
her breast refusing baby from her pediatrician (an older gentleman, very
proud to be "of the old school.") He told her, after two weeks of breast
refusal and feeding breastmilk from a bottle... "give only water from
the bottle until the baby takes the breast." She claims that the baby
sipped on the water and fussed for seven hours and then, for the first
time in his life (at two weeks of age) latched on. He has been nursing
like a champ ever since and she has the milk supply to prove it!
Well, whetever works! But what about water intoxication? What about a
limit on how long to do this... Just wondering if anyone else has seen
this work and how they did it without jeopardizing the baby's health.
