Perhaps I am just overly naive, but isn't there some sort of disciplinary
action possible here?
I don't understand why an inservice is needed. It's a breastfed baby.
Don't give it anything else. Isn't giving it a bottle against orders
(parents or ped) and hence 'punishable'?
Is that really what it's like in a hospital, you have to have an entire
meeting to convince people to follow simple instructions? To convince them
not to disobey direct orders?
I'm asking these questions sincerely BTW!
Now I understand why a friend of mine felt it necessary to put in her
nursery care instructions that any giving of bottles or pacifiers would be
considered assault and battery and those responsible would be reported to
the police.
