We began this practice in November here at our hospital in chicago. I'm
not sure about staff compliance yet. My biggest gripe about formula
giveaways is that our CNA's put together a "smorgasborg" of formula,
water, nipples (red, beige you name it) and give it to EVERY mom. I just
got the acting head of Peds (a neo, actually) to issue a memo that staff
should not put bottles of formula in cribs of breastfed babies, but now
I have to get rid this take home stuff . ARRGGHH!
