My children are all vaccinated. Let me start by saying that. However, my now
three year old suffered siezures and abnormal CT Scan within hours of her 4
month DPT. She developed full blown measles after receiving her MMR. Now my
kids do not get Pertussis vaccine. This is the choice we have made after lots
of research. They also get none of the "extras" like CP vaccine. Lastly, with
my 11 month old, we waited to start *any* vaccines until he was 9 months old.
As a fully breastfed baby cared for at home, he was at little risk yet. Our
pediatrician agreed.

There are enough serious adverse reactions to vaccines in the US that the Govt
established the Vaccine Adverse Reaction Reporting System. This is to
establish an alternative compensation system  to traditional torts measures
for parents of vaccine-affected --including brain damaged -- children.

What is really irresponsible is the fact that most HCPs don't give parents
*all* the facts on vaccine risk -- no matter how small-- so that they can make
a truly informed decision. With all the facts in hand, most, like myself, will
decide to go ahead and vaccinate.
