Are both babies gaining well & nsg OK, by our usual parameters? Peeing,
pooping, etc.? I wouldn't worry about what happens for her with the pump, if
the babies are doing OK at breast. Maybe it would help if she switched the
babies' sides, so that whichever one is the more vigorous nurser nurses more
at the "less-full" breast. Remind me again why she's pumping...would she be
better off just nursing? Maybe she could use the more vigorous nurser to
start the milk flow, then pop on the slow-poke.
She's lucky she has you helping her - despite the "subtly unsupportive"
hubby, she'll do well, I think. My experience as a mother of twins is that,
at this stage, you don't have to worry exactly about there being twice as
much milk, or equal milk both sides; if one baby's a good nurser, s/he'll
keep things working all right while the other one works out the glitches.
THE MILK WILL BE THERE! And the less she is able to worry about it, the
better. Can she just go to bed, snuggle, & nurse?
