Lori brings up her experience of a childbirth class dad complaining of
overzealousness.

Just a tip: hand out evaluation sheets after your session to every member
of the class with a brief selection of questions on it which they can then
complete anonymously and either post or hand in to the class co-ordinator.

Each question could invite them to answer on a scale of 1 to 5 where 5 is
'strongly agree' and 1 is 'strongly disagree' (or vice versa) ...so you
could say 'this session was helpful to me' and 'i feel more confident about
my feeding options' and 'the tutor was well- informed'...or whatever. You
can leave a gap for further comments, such as 'the approach was far too
zealous'  (ha ha...)

This feedback I have found to be genuinely helpful to me, and it gives me
valuable insight into ways I might change my approach. Of course it also
gives you some 'defence' if one person (and remember, Lori, it was just
*one*  person!!) has a gripe about you...you can show the feedback to your
manager, and hopefully the positives will far outweigh the negatives.
