I have a friend who had an "extra" breast as she referred to it. She always
thought it was an odd mole that got sensitive with her periods. After we met
and I "brainwashed" her about breastfeeding, she began to think that it was a
"extra". It was at under the arm but low so that her bra bothered it. She
had it removed by a plastic surgeon-it was very uncomfortable for her. It
made her very self-consious and she felt she couldn't wear a swimsuit most of
the time. She let me "look" at it at various times during her menstral cycle
and it did change remarkably. The surgery was outpatient and took only about
30 minutes. She is much happier and looking forward to breastfeeding a baby
in the future. She expressed concern that this "breast" would get engorged
and she would be miserable.
