just to play devil's advocate, let us remember that improved soybeans will
have other benefits besides formula, and it is in everybody's interest to have
formulaes improved. they will never equal what they imitate, but anything that
makes them better is a good thing, as martha says.

and you know me, i think it's always to be avoided if possible.
