Just like Pam Holland, I have also been very lucky working with my local TV
station.  I contacted the Health Reporter for my local CBS affiliate in Tampa,
FL, and suggested that it was important for the viewing audience to understand
that dehydration in breastfed infants was a very rare occurence, and that it
is not breastfeeding, but breastfeeding management that is truly the ISSUE.
Our local news station will be airing a spot at the 6 and 11:00 p.m. time
spots, before and after CHICAGO HOPELESS.  It will feature a story about a mom
with a FFT infant who went from severe thin to a pudgy body with dimples.  Mom
had practically no milk supply when I began working with her, and now has a
great milk supply and very, very healthy baby.  Mom, I, and her pediatrician
(despite the fact that he recommended serious supplementation--NOT an LC) are
in the spot.

I am not writing this to toot my horn, but as a suggestion that it is not too
late.  The reporter that we are working with is taping this spot on the day of
the show, Oct. 21st.  Most of these reports are taped the day that they air,
so if you haven't done it already, please pick up the phone, call your local
CBS affiliate, think of a mom you helped that could speak on TV, and tell THE
