Dear Lactnetters,

I have searched the archieves, but have not found my answers. A have a
pregnant mom who was told by her OB and family dr. that she could not
breastfeed because of the oral hypoglycemic medication, glucophage, that she
is taking. Dr. Hale states that for pediatric concerns, there are none,
except to watch for hypoglycemia. The M/P = 1.0. What are your
recommendations for this mom? She is eager to breastfeed, but getting a
thumbs down from her drs. TIA
