Regarding aspiration of breast abscess:

The article by JM Dixon in the British Medical Journal 1988, Volume 297 :
1517-1518, titled: "Repeated aspiration of breast abscesses in lactating
women" is well worth looking for. It is a report of 6 women who had
abscesses drained by aspiration (3-5 aspirations) and all did well.
