My daughter also stooled quite infrequently (anywhere from three to ten
days), starting at 1 week of age. And oh yes, they were Events -- I remember
leaving a full cart of groceries (which fortunately was still there when we
returned a half hour later) once because she had pooped through her diaper
and outfit and it was all over my husband, who'd been holding her ... She
didn't have any disease whatsoever during her first year and gained like a
champ.

It does concern me, though, how often I read that babies should produce two
to five bowel movements a day (as well as at least x wet diapers). I talk to
many women whose babies have stooling patterns quite similar to those of our
babies.
