A twist on this is...I recently had an adoptive mom who wanted to
breastfeed. She had a written contract with the birth mom and had
already started to pump to induce lactation. the neonatologist said "not
a good idea until the adoption is final, might cause the adoptive mom to
become too attached." seems we are hellbent on making sure babies that
get adopted get no breastmilk, from either of their moms.
