Oh wow!
I bought a quick gift book for my husband a few days ago, and after he
unwrapped it today and everything was settled down, I decided to read through
it. The book, by Reader's Digest, is entitled, "How to Do Just About
Anything". As I read through, I found (to my delight), that it even mentioned
"breast-feeding" (the spelling should've been enough to scare me right
there!).
This is what it says: " Buil;d up the length of feedings gradually. On the
first day feed the baby for only 2 to 3 minutes on each breast at each
feeding. From the second day on, add a minute or so at each feeding. A
typical infant feeds approximately every 3 hours, getting most of the milk in
10 to 15 minutes per breast. An infant should not be on the breast for more
than an hour".
Horrors! Yikes! I didn't know this stuff was still being written! This was
my Christams Day shocker. Other than this though, it has been a BEAUTIFUL day
in Flagstaff, AZ. Merry Christmas to you all!
