Hi, I have been no-mail for a few months as I have been so busy; I have
only posted to Lactnet one other time.
My question: A pediatrician who is very BF friendly, called me yesterday
because she had prescribed reglan for a mom who wants to relactate. After
writing a prescription, a GI doc told her that Reglan can cause Parkinson's
in adults at a rate of 1 in 8. Have any of you out there heard this? Are
there any references out there that I can recommend to this pediatrician?
Also, Tom Hale's book recommends 30-45mg per day; is that the usual dose
prescribed? Any comments would be greatly appreciated! Thank you,
