I have just read Rob's response to Dianne's request for
ammunition about anesthesia/epidurals and breastfeeding.
Sounds to me like the hospital is talking out of both
sides of their mouths. If they want a 95% epidural rate
and they don't let women nurse for 24-48 hours before
anesthesia, does that mean that babies don't nurse for
the first 1-2 days after birth. Epidural is an anesthesia.
I am not a medical person, so please enlighten me, why
would hospitals make it a goal to have a 95% epidural rate?
I am missing the rationale.
