Dear Laura
When a woman is not breastfeeding, she has her first ovulation about 4
weeks after delivery. Quite possible to be pregnant immediately ! If a women
is breastfeeding, no risk to be pregnant in the first 6 weeks, and still
almost impossible in the two following weeks. Very rare to become pregnant
before 3 to 4 month when a women is EXCLUSIVELY breastfeeding. And sure,
some women are VERY fertile (we say in France : "women who are pregnant as
soon as the husband takes off his pants" - first time is always the good
one)
