I loved Maurenne's descriptions of bf in kindergarten.

I speak Hebrew with my kids, and in Hebrew the word for mammals is _yonkim_,
literally sucklers, the same exact word we use for bf babies.  (same as
mammals, but no latin to obscure the issue, I guess).

Anyway since I was more likely to talk to Avital about zoology than anyone
else in her life, for a long time she referred to mammals as "nursing
animals,"  and now, at age 4.5, her favorite game is still "I'm a baby [pig,
dolphin, kitten, etc] coming to nurse from the mamma [pig, dolphin, cat,
etc]."  You bet all her friends know what a mammal is...
